Calls for Investment into SA Roads Ahead of Election

road.JPGThe RAA is calling for a $7.1 billion investment into South Australian Roads to save lives, ahead of the federal election.

They are urging the next federal government to fund the staged duplication of Augusta Highway which is estimated to cost $2 billion.

A survey of RAA members revealed federal funding for transport infrastructure ranked ahead of other priorities including national security and science and innovation.

The RAA says further long-term investment is urgently needed in other key projects to deliver social and economic benefits for South Australians living in regional areas.
