5 successful projects in the Far North Region have received funding under the Round 3 of the Commonwealth Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.
Regional communities throughout Australia will benefit from 330 new infrastructure projects and community initiatives, as part of a $204.3 million investment.
The successful projects for the Far North region include a Men’s Shed in Port Augusta and the delivery of a festival to promote renewable energy and the region.
Mr Mark Sutton, Chair of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Far North said that the successful projects in the Far North SA region will deliver vital infrastructure, services and skills to our regional communities.
“Over $512,000 has been received from BBRF Round 3 to go towards a total project investment value of nearly $740,000 for the region. This is a great outcome for this region and we pass on our congratulations to the worthy recipients.”
The projects include:
Pika Wiya Health Service – Construction of a Men’s shed in Port Augusta
Remote and Isolated Childrens Exercise – Governance training for not-for-profit boards in Outback SA
Business Port Augusta – Delivery of a festival to promote renewable energy and the region.
Nature Foundation SA – Expansion of the Kids on Country Program
Centacare Catholic Country SA – Fields of Strength – building foundations for rural suicide safety
