The design contract for Whyalla’s new $100 million secondary school has been awarded to South Australian company Cox Architecture.
Creating an education hub between UniSA and TAFE SA, the school is expected to accommodate 1500 students from Year 7 to 12.
The school will feature STEM facilities and dynamic learning environments, providing students with access to more resources.
Education Minister John Gardner says “This is a major project that will deliver world-class, contemporary school infrastructure to Whyalla students, create jobs in the community and contribute to South Australia’s economic growth.”
Mr Gardner says “Whyalla’s next generation will be able to experience the same environments found in modern workplaces and leading tertiary institutions, preparing them for life beyond school.”
