Sporting clubs across the Yorke Peninsula have benefited from the Stronger Communities Program with funding provided to organisations to upgrade facilities.
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey says he is very pleased the funding will enable these important country clubs to make improvements and benefit members.
The Corny Point Cricket Club will receive over $5,500 for upgrades to cricket nets and the Ardrossan Bowling Club will receive almost $4,000 for new shade umbrellas.
The Government’s Stronger Communities Programme offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects.
Mr Ramsey says that sporting clubs are an important part of our small local communities and he is very pleased to have made the funds available to help regional communities.
