The City of Whyalla has increased the number of Community Grants rounds to help provide groups with more immediate and timely funds.
The council has moved from four to six rounds of funding a year, one round has passed but there are still more chances for Community groups to secure funding throughout the year.
Whyalla Mayor Clare McLaughlin says increasing the number of rounds during the year can only benefit the community.
She says the Council’s function is to support community groups, and with the extra rounds of funding more projects and initiatives will get off the ground throughout the year.
Grants are available to non-profit clubs and organisations to support their events and projects, the next grant round closes on the 15th of March.
