An industrial fire in Port Augusta is expected to burn for several days as the hot weather offers no relief.
At around 11:40pm on Sunday CFS and MFS responded to the fire on Madland street in Port Augusta West.
Crews found a large pile of timber on fire, it took 18 firefighters to contain the blaze after wind spread the flames across the business.
The fire is currently under control however, police say it is expected to burn for several days.
The MFS has issued a warning to residents in neighbouring areas to remain inside and shut all windows and doors due to heavy smoke drifting in the area.
The fire has been deemed not suspicious and there is no threat to life or property.
