Heartbeat Whyalla have made a $10,000 life saving donation to the Whyalla Hospital on the back of another major fundraiser for the hospital.
The community group raised funds to purchase a defibrillator for the Whyalla Perioperative Unit.
The new equipment will mean the unit no longer has to rely on a machine borrowed from the Emergency Unit.
Heartbeat Whyalla has donated over $35,000 worth of medical equipment over the years
President of Heartbeat Marilyn Johns says the group had received a great deal of support from the community and they thanked the general public for helping them to buy equipment for the hospital.
