Whyalla is bringing The World’s Biggest Comic to the region to get residents talking about mental health and promote community wellbeing.
The new public art project will feature a giant, informative comic printed on big panels and spread throughout the city.
Project co-ordinator, Richard Parker from Whyalla Suicide Prevention Network says the project will involve collaborating with local artists to promote mental wellness.
The project is funded for 550 square metres of artwork which is roughly the size of two-and-a-half tennis courts.
The project is an initiative of the Whyalla Suicide Prevention Network and is being supported by the City of Whyalla, Country SA Primary Health Network, National Suicide Prevention and Trial Suicide Prevention Small Grants.
