The Country Fire Service has declared the Fire Danger Season will start early right across the Flinders, Mid North, North East Pastoral districts and the Yorke Peninsula regions.
Acting Director of Preparedness Operations Brett Loughlin says a dry winter and increased temperatures for spring has brought the fire season forward in these areas.
He says it will be especially important for farmers harvesting this year to ensure they have a water source on hand to extinguish a fire should it start.
The CFS is urging people in the region to prepare for the start of the fire danger season by preparing their homes and updating their bushfire action plan.
The Fire Danger Season will start on Ocotber 22nd for the Flinders and North East Pastoral Districts and November 1st for the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula regions.
