Massive Solar Farm Heading for Robertstown

solar plant .jpgConstruction is set to begin next year for another solar farm in the mid north, promising cheaper electricity, hundreds of jobs and power to 90,000 homes.
The Solar River Project is will see 628,000 solar panels installed over 500 hectares near Robertstown, south of Burra in the Mid North.
Future stages of the project could potentially supply power to around 450,000 homes across Australia.
The Solar River Project will create 350 new jobs during the two-year construction and will offer 45 permanent jobs once completed.
A conservation park will also be established near the site for research and flora and fauna protection programs.
