Police Crack Down on Drivers Over Long Weekend

police_line.jpgPolice were busy over long weekend, stopping thousands of drivers for drug and alcohol testing as well as speeding.
Only one fatality was recorded for the weekend, a 61-year-old man died in a crash at Balaklava on Sunday.
Two people were seriously injured in a crash at Port Wakefield.
7064 drivers were stopped for breath testing with 35 returning a positive test. 662 drivers were drug tested with 74 people testing positive.
552 motorists were caught speeding, 33 were caught on their mobile phone and 49 drivers were caught driving without a seatbelt.
