New Aboriginal employment opportunities green lit at Carrapateena Mine

mine generic.jpgThere’s new Aboriginal employment opportunities up for grabs at Carrapateena Mine.
Thanks to a partnership between Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation and Australian Camp Services,TAFE SA’s Aboriginal Access Centre has a new set of graduates who are qualified for a number of new positions at the Carrapateena Copper mine.
The students had to take an 8 week program, combining specialised hospitality skills in kitchen and housekeeping with basic job skills, and learn how to managed finances and administer first aid.
TAFE SA Aboriginal Access Centre Director, Marg Mibus, said all of the students had shown great commitment to the program.
