80km/h to stay on Abattoirs Road

80kmh.JPGFor those heading down Abattoirs Road, outside Port Pirie, the 80km/h limit looks like it’s a thing to stay.
Port Pirie Regional Council have reviewed a decision to extend the speed zone from National Highway One across to the West of Waits Road.
However, member for Frome Geoff Brock has apparently sent a message off to the Minister for Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, in a bid to get the speed limit down on the road-with the goal of making it safer.
It was previously 80km/h from Oval View Road through to the National Highway One.
But locals in the area really weren’t happy with this.

They previously submitted a petition to the council, asking to have the speed reduced as they felt unsafe entering and exiting their properties.
