Whyalla in the perfect spot for Hydrogen Roadmap

whyalla generic.JPGWhyalla sits in the perfect spot to benefit from the State Government’s Hydrogen Roadmap.
The “Roadmap” process, works by using SA’s renewable energy stations to create electricity and then make hydrogen.
Due to the fact Whyalla has some of the best infrastructure in the region, there’s a good chance it’ll be sought after to export the chemical.
Early estimates say around 4000 jobs in SA could be put on the table from the Roadmap program, with a fair chunk of those to taken from regional areas like Whyalla.
Member for Giles Eddie Hughes was pretty confident for Whyalla’s chances, saying that because it’s at the intersection of the largely untapped wind resources of the EP, and because of the borders region’s massive solar reserve, there are a good range of opportunities available.
