Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes posted a video on twitter thanking the staff at St Vincent Hospital for taking care of him after he revealed he had an unexpected emergency visit on monday night.

“I spent last night in ER at St Vincent Hospital and I want to thank the amazing staff who took care of me,” writes Barnes, “This song (see next post) is for them and my best friend @jane13barnes who dashed me there and stayed by my side. We’ll all get by with a little help from our friends”

Shortly after, he shares a video, accompanied by his wife Jane, daughter Elly-May and grandson Dylan, “This song is for the staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and my best friend @jane13barnes. We’ll all get by with a little help from our friends. Look after each other in these uncertain times,” he wrote.

He starts off the video by saying “I had an unexpected visit to St Vincent’s emergency last night,” he says. “Non-COVID related by the way. But we were well looked after by our mates, doctors and nurses and staff at St Vinnies.” Accompanied by a cover of the classic Beatles anthem “With A Little Help From My Friends”

According to Barnes son, David Campbell, Jimmy is home safe and seems to be doing fine after he retweeted his dads post with the caption “Spoke to my Dad. He is safe at home. Much better. Which is a relief”
