The cult classic Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show is getting remade, but with a slight twist. The remake will occur in the USA with one major difference…female leads!

Co-creator Sam Bain, announced the remake in an article for The Guardian.

“What would Peep Show have been like with women as the two leads?” Bain wrote, “it’s a great question – and it’s one I’ll shortly have the answer to, because there is a script in development for a US Peep Show with two female leads. It’s at FX Networks and it will be written by top comedy brain Karey Dornetto.”

Karey Dornetto is an established writer having co-exec produced Portlandia and Superstore as well as being responsible for a selection of Community episodes.

Peep Show, ran for nine seasons and followed the lives of Mark Corrigan, a loan manager and Jez Usborne, a juvenile slacker and unemployed musician.
