A toddler bitten by a dog in Melbourne has been released from hospital.
The two-year-old girl was bitten at a Rennie Street property at Coburg on Friday, and was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital with facial injuries.
She was released on Saturday afternoon, the hospital confirmed.
A family member told the Herald Sun the bite was an accident and not an attack.
"She was in the lounge room and the dog jumped and accidentally nipped her on the cheek," the aunt told the paper.
The dog remains at the property, it reported.
