Two teenagers have been charged after leading police on a pursuit in a stolen car in inner west Sydney.
Police spotted the car, which had been stolen two days earlier, in Marrickville on Friday afternoon. They stopped the pursuit twice before the vehicle crashed into a phone box in Lewisham. The occupants of the car fled the scene but were arrested a short time later.
A 17-year-old boy, who was charged with five offences, was refused bail to appear at a court on Saturday. A 15-year-old girl was charged with being in a stolen vehicle and bailed to appear at a court on February 11. A 17-year-old boy was let off with a caution.
