FREMANTLE backman Taylin Duman’s off-the-ball hit on GWS opponent Lachie Whitfield is set to cost him a fortnight on the AFL sidelines.
Duman has been offered a two-match ban for striking Whitfield during Saturday’s match at UNSW Canberra Oval which the Dockers won by four goals.
Match review officer Michael Christian assessed the incident as intentional conduct with medium impact to the head.
With Geelong and Hawthorn’s clash on Easter Monday yet to be assessed, Duman is the only player facing suspension from round five after Giants midfielder Jacob Hopper, Melbourne’s Jordan Lewis and Western Bulldogs skipper Easton Wood were offered fines.
Gold Coast’s Jarrod Harbrow was reported for rough conduct against Adelaide’s Lachlan Murphy but Christian ruled the Suns veteran had no case to answer.
Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko can accept a $2000 fine if he pleads guilty to rough conduct on Collingwood’s Taylor Adams in Thursday’s Gabba clash.
