A woman has been charged following an investigation into criminal neglect of children.
Following an investigation, on Friday police attended a Whyalla Norrie home and arrested a 24-year-old woman.
Two children in her care were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
She has been charged with aggravated criminal neglect and aggravated endangering life, was refused bail.
She appeared in the Whyalla Magistrates Court Monday with her lawyer applying for home detention.
Prosecution argued against citing the woman’s seven previous convictions involving violence and that she told police that if she was released she would get the child.
A bail inquiry report into any prior mental health or drug and alcohol issues was ordered by the magistrate.
A decision on her home detention will be made next week.
