An innovative plan is in the works for Port Wakefield Road, as SA developers plan a 500-hectare green economy precinct and housing estate in the 200-person town of Dublin.

This would see 1,300 new homes built and a population boost, with the town tipped to hit 3,250 people.

The plan also includes a bioreactor to power the whole area, while vertical farms in glasshouses would be able to feed residents.
