Port Augusta City Council and The Benevolent Society will provide funding support to Port Augusta City Council for the next three years, facilitating the implementation of two family-based programs.
Mayor Linley Shine expressed excitement about the Youth Engagement Strategy, Youth Advisory Committee, and various activities for families of all ages and cultures.
The programs will include free community activities such as movie nights, picnics, kayaking, roller skating, and more.
Additionally, literacy-focused programs for children aged 0 to 5 years and 6 to 12 years will be provided.
The grants total $1.3 million over three years, benefiting families and young people.
Information sessions will be held later this month.
