It’s a quarter of a million-dollar damage bill for a house in Maitland.
Around 8.30pm on Monday night, the CFS was informed of a fire at the property – it required five crews to extinguish it, with it finally out by about 11.30pm.
It’s believed to have started in the lounge room and quickly took hold of the entire house causing a partial roof collapse.

Luckily, no one was home at the time of the blaze.
