The 21st annual Victoria Racing Club’s Melbourne Cup Tour will be stopping in at the Spencer Gulf while visiting a record 41 destinations across seven countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, France, Hong Kong, and Japan.
The tour aims to share the $600,000 18-carat-gold trophy with communities worldwide and raise funds for charity and community initiatives.
Starting on June 10 in Tokyo, the tour will stop in Balaklava on Friday 7 July, Port Augusta on Saturday 8 July weekend and Quorn on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 July accompanied by Melbourne Cup racing legends.
